“Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
Rejection cuts deep. It makes you question your worth, your calling, even your identity. Whether it comes from family, friends, or divorce, rejection leaves marks that feel hard to heal.
But here’s the truth: God never stopped calling you chosen.
When you open Scripture in moments like these, it’s like getting a text message straight from Heaven. In Deuteronomy 31, God promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That wasn’t just meant for Moses or Joshua. It’s a message for you, right now, in the middle of your story.
In my latest podcast episode, “When Rejection Hurts — But God Still Calls You Chosen,” I share how God met me right in that place of pain. I had been wrestling with feelings of abandonment and unworthiness, not realizing that I was still living from the old me — the version of myself that existed before my faith in Christ.
Then the Lord showed me something powerful:
Our names were written on that cross.
When Jesus hung there, His blood covered more than our sins. He purchased our identity. Every insecurity, fear, and painful memory — paid for in full. That means rejection and abandonment don’t get to define us anymore.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20
If you’re in Christ, your old identity — the one weighed down by rejection and abandonment — is gone. The life you now live is grounded in the One who loved you and gave Himself for you.
That revelation changed everything for me. I realized that I’d been pulling from the wrong version of myself. Every time I allowed insecurity or fear to speak louder than God’s truth, I was resurrecting what Jesus already nailed to the cross.
During prayer, I sensed Him whisper this:
“Daughter, I bought the rights to your identity when I hung on that tree.
I purchased your mindset, your emotions, your memories of rejection.
They no longer belong to you.
Don’t let them hold you back.”
To hear the WHOLE word, you can listen here or watch on Youtube here when it drops on Tuesday, November 4th.
That word broke something open in me. Jesus didn’t just redeem my eternity — He redeemed me. My emotions, my story, my scars. He even redeemed the pain I thought disqualified me from being used by Him.
When we let rejection control our thoughts, we become slaves again to people’s opinions. But Scripture reminds us:
“You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.” — 1 Corinthians 7:23
You were never meant to be chained to old labels or to live under the weight of someone else’s approval. You were meant to walk in freedom — as someone fully redeemed, fully loved, and fully chosen.
Here’s what this truth set me free from:
Believing I wasn’t “enough” to lead or speak.
Thinking I wasn’t “good enough” or “anointed enough.”
Carrying a poverty mindset about my worth after divorce.
If any of that resonates with you, this episode is for you. We dive deep into how to reclaim your God-given identity and walk in freedom after rejection.
