Every fall, the Hebrew calendar turns over and offers us a new spiritual season. We’ve now stepped into the year 5786, and for those walking through life after divorce, this year carries a prophetic message of hope, healing, and connection.
The Year of the Mouth and Connection
The 5780’s are known as the “decade of the mouth.” This is a season when our words carry weight — shaping our reality, declaring God’s promises, and aligning heaven to earth.
The number 6 in Hebrew is the letter Vav, which means “hook” or “nail.” It’s a picture of connection and establishment. In other words, this is a year to disconnect from the storms of the past and firmly connect with God’s Word, His promises, and His Spirit.
Why This Matters After Divorce
If you’ve gone through divorce, you know the power of words — the painful ones spoken over you, and the ones you’ve replayed in your own mind. 5786 is an invitation to tear down those old words and declare something new:
- God’s promises over your life.
- His provision for your future.
- His Spirit breathing new life into what feels dry or broken.
Ezekiel 37 reminds us that even dry bones can rise again when God’s Word is spoken. This year, it’s time to prophesy life into your healing, your family, and your future.
A Season of Revival
We’re living in what some call the “voice wars” — where competing voices fight for influence in politics, culture, and even the church. But God is raising up His people to speak boldly, worship purely, and stand firm in revival.
So I’ll leave you with this: Who controls your narrative? Your ex? Fear? Bitterness? Or will you let God’s promises be the loudest voice in your life?
